Charles Schneider is a recently retired elementary school principal and supporter of the arts.  His experience as a music teacher and his passion for the fine arts served him well as the chair of the Central Okanagan School District’s Cultural Performance Committee, arranging and scheduling more than 200 performances each year to benefit the students of its thirty-plus elementary schools.   Performing artists included instrumental soloists, chamber music ensembles, puppeteers, opera and dance groups, as well as numerous other presenters. For a number of years on this committee, Charles negotiated performance contracts with the visiting artists.  In his new home in the lower mainland, Charles continues to draw on this experience as one of Chamber Music Kelowna's two Artistic Directors.
