President's Message

Welcome to the 38th season of your Chamber Music Kelowna.

Chamber Music Kelowna has a mandate;  the presentation of concerts of a high calibre by accomplished musicians in the world of chamber music to you, our subscribers, as well as promoting, educating and offering support to talented local musicians and students by the avenue of outreach performances by professional musicians.

In the coming season there will be three outreach performances: The Rolston String Quartet at Okanagan College Atrium, The Gryphon Trio at a local high school and The Zodiac Trio at UBCO in the ballroom. The opportunity for a large number of students to attend will be well appreciated by the  artists, the facility offering space and the attendees.

Chamber Music each season asks for members of our audience interested in Chamber Music and  the volunteer Board of Directors or other volunteer opportunities to contact the current Board members in person, the website or email

Our current Board was joined this spring by a new part-time Coordinator of Operations, Geraldine Parent. At this time I thank Geraldine, the Board of Directors, our artist directors, Lorna Paterson and Charles Schneider and our volunteers for the work that has been done and will be done to further the goals of Chamber Music Kelowna Society.

Chamber Music Kelowna receives the support of several generous individual donors and of The Canadian Arts Presentation Fund, The British Columbia Community Gaming Fund, The City of Kelowna Arts, Culture and Heritage Fund, the Central Okanagan Foundation and The Ogopogo Rotary Fund. Please remember all this generosity as you sit back and enjoy this season of superb performances.

I am engaged in the music and look forward to this 38th season, as I know you do.

Louise Wall
