"What do you get when you take four young and extremely talented Canadian musicians who have each won several prestigious awards, developed into stellar soloists in their own right; and joined together to form a piano quartet? You get Ensemble Made in Canada, this country's newest up-and-coming chamber group, quickly making its mark on the Canadian music scene." (Winnipeg Free Press)

Ensemble Made in Canada has risen rapidly to become the premier piano quartet in Canada.  To their impressive collection of rare Italian instruments and individually outstanding backgrounds as performers, they add a unique and enthusiastic ensemble spirit that enlivens everything they do.

This exciting ensemble was winner of the 2006 CBC Galaxie Rising Stars Award, and included in Chatelaine Magazine's list of "80 Amazing Canadian Women to Watch".  Individually they have won numerous honours including Canadian Merit Scholar, Eckhard-Grammatte Competition, Canada Council Instrument Bank Competition, Grace Welsh International Piano Competition, Honens International Piano Competition, amongst others.  They have performed in notable chamber music series such as Pro Musica Topaz, Marlboro, Ravinia, Banff, Ottawa Chamber Music Festival, and are often heard on CBC.

Ensemble Made in Canada strongly believes in promoting the education of future classical music audiences through outreach programs, and is a featured participant in CMK's community outreach programming.

With this appearance, CMK continues its tradition and commitment of supporting outstanding young Canadian talent and emerging artists.
