* Venue has been changed for this event *
We have changed the venue for our Oct. 29th concert featuring Angela Jia Kim from New York. She requires a better piano than the Rotary Arts Centre had to offer, especially for the large Chopin Sonata in B minor, so we have decided to move the concert to the Kelowna Community Theatre. She will be performing on their 9 foot Yamaha concert grand. The date and time are identical; however, there will be general seating only for this performance in the larger Community Theatre venue.

Described as "a superb colorist"
with "playing that encompasses the full range of sound
from the very delicate to the very powerful," pianist
Angela Jia Kim has established a presence on the concert stage
that encompasses solo recitals, chamber music, and orchestral
appearances. The eminent pianist Maria Curcio wrote, "A
formidable and brilliant technique and a real virtuoso of
the instrument combine to produce some astonishing artistry
at the keyboard." She went on to predict that Ms. Kim
would "represent her country on the world stage as one
of the great musicians of our time."
