Chamber Music Kelowna proudly presents a frequent audience request: an acclaimed woodwind ensemble made up of illustrious soloists.

A unique musical ensemble in the Canadian landscape, Pentaèdre explores and presents diversified and original chamber music repertoire, developed in the tradition of music for woodwind instruments. The five award-winning musicians forming the quintet are recognized for the talent, technique, precision and colour they bring to their performances.

"Aside from the excellent and often sensuous playing of the individual members, Pentaèdre has a wonderful corporate sound. They are past masters of balance and blend …" (The Ottawa Citizen).  Since 1985, Pentaèdre has been exploring diverse, original and daring chamber music repertoire. Composed of five musicians whose talent and technique create a rich homogeneous sonority Pentaèdre tours throughout North American and Europe, has recorded five CDs and was awarded two Opus Prizes, in 2002 (Best Concert of the Year, Contempory Music) and in 2008 (CD of the Year for its chamber version of Schubert's Winterreise with German tenor Christoph Pregardien). In 2011, to celebrate their 25th season, Pentaèdre presented an exceptional Mahler 100
Years Event, with tenor Christoph Pregardien and contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux.
You will be warmed from the inside out by these "Winter Winds" performing extraordinary repertoire of sublime discovery.

Pentaèdre appears by arrangement with Richard Paul Concert Artists, Toronto, Ontario
